Not much of a sunrise this morning at Carlin Park, so I focused my attention on the waves bashing against the rocks. Catching a good wave is much harder than it looks. This is as good as it gets from all the exposures I took that morning.

Zebra and wildebeest migration Masai Mara, Sep/Oct. 2006 and yes, the zebra to the far right has suffered a recent wound, probably from a lion or cheetah.
I’m off again tomorrow (1/18/07) to Kenya and Senegal…I depart, traveling with my mom and my brother to Kenya, and then a trip to Senegal to visit Viola Vaughn and the 10,000 girls project. While in Kenya, I will be attending the World Social Forum (http://wsf2007.org/info/about)…The following elements are included in this forum’s vision:
1. Building a world of peace, justice, ethics and respect for
diverse spiritualities;
2. Liberating the world from the domination of multinational
and financial capital;
3. Ensuring universal and sustainable access to the common
goods of humanity and nature;
4. Democratization of knowledge and information;
5. Ensuring dignity, defending diversity, guaranteeing gender
equality and eliminating all forms of discrimination;
6. Guaranteeing economic, social, and cultural rights
especially the right to food, healthcare, education,
housing, employment and decent work;

8. Constructing a people-centred and sustainable economy;
9. Building real democratic political structures and
institutions with full people’s participation on decisions
and control of public affairs and resources.

Benny’s On the Beach is a nice little restaurant locate on the Lake Worth Fishing Pier. This photo was taken a few minutes before sunrise. Personally I feel this one of the most picturesque pier in Palm Beach County especially after and during sunrise and sunset.

Plitvice Lakes National Park (Croatian: Nacionalni park Plitvička jezera) is the oldest national park in Southeast Europe and the largest national park in Croatia. The national park was founded in 1949 and is situated in the mountainous karst area of central Croatia.
The protected area extends over 296.85 square kilometres (73,350 acres). About 90 percent of this area are part of Lika-Senj County, while the remaining 10 percent are part of Karlovac County. In 1979, Plitvice Lakes National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage register among the first natural sites worldwide. Each year, more than 900,000 visitors are recorded.
